5/8, 1″, 1 1/2″, 2″, and 2 1/2″ square, in stock up to 39″ long. Dovetail stock available in series sizes up to 39″ long.

Shafts (Rams) are produced from certified CR1018 steel and case hardened to 58-63 RC. They are ground with a 16-32 RMS finish to within 0.0020 max straightness/ft. and 0.0003/in. perpendicularity. All shafts are then 100% visually inspected for any signs of functional defects … stress cracks, pits, etc. Note that all Turnomat shafts are ground to 0.020 in. under nominal fractional size. This is done to minimize grinding expense and, hence, lessen cost to the customer. Full 5/8 thru 2 1/2 in. nominal size shafts will not fit into our products.
