BUS : Bearing unit – square profile
BUR : Bearing unit – round profile
BP : Ball plate (mountable)
B : Bronze (bearing) .. bronze laminated to steel back plate
BB : Ball bearing
CA : Complete assembly (housing / bearings / “standard” ram)
DT : Dovetail series
EP : End plate (end caps for series 1500 – 2500 BUS and BUR that are“W/W”
FWS : Felt wiper set ( felt wipers / plastic washers / snap rings for 625 – 1000 )
FLT : Felt wipers only 1500 – 2500
GSP : Gib slide plate
HDBP : Heavy duty ball plate (high load capacity, mountable “BB” BP unit)
N : Narrow (refers to our “narrow” version of a GSP or BP. In the BUS and BUR units there are (2) narrow and (2) wide bearings to support the ram)
SHG : Shafting ( shaft, ram, mandrel,etc. – either square or trapezoidal (DT) in shape)
T : Turcite (bearing) .. Turcite (a proprietary self lubricating PTFE compound laminated to a steel back plate)
W : Wide (refers to our “wide” bearing version .. see “N”above)
